ive not had a moving violation since like 2003 ish. 100% spotless lic, but it was not always like that.

ive earned, and lost over 43 NJ points. thats lots of 2 pt careless driving tickets, a few speeding tickets, and 2 improper passing acts.

my abstract is more then amusing. seems the cdl truck enforcement cops in Maryland can see a drivers full record from day one. guy comes back, hes like you've got a pretty checkerd record. im like huh? its clean, i have no points. hes like improper use of a moped? i laughed out loud, im like you can see back to the beginning cant ya? heres whats so funny. its the first thing on my abstract, i also never got that ticket. no idea why its there.

we wont go into the thousands of dollars ive had to pay to get my lic back after the 4 year suspension i got, thats a long dirty story. involves having 10 cops all drawn on me as i was boxed in a intersection. good times man.......not

Everything is discretionary. Most times they'll just give you a tinted windows ticket. It depends on who you are, where you are and your record. Iirc tinted windows ticket is a little under $100.

Not everything. In MD, and I'd believe elsewhere, a fix it ticket cannot be issued to a vehicle not registered in the issuing state. Likely a reason being, there is no administrative sanctioning possible with out of state registrations. A ticket is a ticket and the fine is paid, court presence is made or some legal ramification follows with reciprocity issues and/or bench warrants.

Hey guys and gals, here in North Carolina, Window Tint Violations are a Misdemeanor. I've never heard of anyone getting arrested for it, but if for whatever reason, its not taken care of, then it's on your record. Keep your eye on your tint laws, year by year. They sometimes change and no one knows it until your world has turned "BLUE". Also, as far as inspection with illegal window tint, if they notice your windows are illegally tinted, they may not say anything to you. They'll check and see who inspected your vehicle and go back and charge the person who inspected it. So keep that in mind for the ones that have that good friend, relative, or whoever inspects it for you. They may or may not realize what they are putting on the line for you.
