Sure, you'd ask this on a day I wasn't working. As for the bulb itself, it's a fairly uncommon one that I doubt anybody stocks. It came up as a special order part for me at work, so now I carry them.

It seems that GM is on this kick about using bulbs that nobody has. I got a call the other day for a 3rd brake light bulb on a 2005 Pontiac G6. No info in my computer. I managed to get my hands on it for a part number. I learned a few thinks that day. Wagner its the OE bulb supplier for GM. GM is making them put all the bulbs in plastic clips. And, the bulb was not available for Wagner vendors, which my company is. Not even the GM dealer nearby had it.

Hi Connor,

Actually I'm not looking for anything related to bulbs ... what I'm trying to get is the actual fog lamp housing measurement to see which size aftermarket fog lamp housings are a direct replacement.

To be more exact ... i'm looking at this as a replacement: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=128 but I'm not sure it is big enough at 90mm. But that's because I measured mine at the edge of the lenses. So it may actually be the same fitment but I'm measuring at the wrong spot.

Does that make sense?

Maybe you should just remove the current housing and measure the actual hole it mounts into. Shouldn't be too much involved, right?

No, I can't imagine it's too difficult ... but no reason to do so until I know exactly where to measure, and I don't know that the bumper opening size is in fact the corresponding standardized measurement to lamps. I mean it might be, but it'd be nice to know for sure so i only do it once.

Okay, so this is why we don't go around measuring stuff randomly ,,,

This 90mm hella fog lamp has the spec drawings with it. http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=132

So 90mm refers to the overall depth of the lamp and not the width.

So it seems that I need to take my lamp out after all, measure the gap in the bumper, and find a replacement lamp that lists its specs like this one to see if it will fit through it.

What a pita.

This is what our fog lamps look like:

Stupid conical shape is what makes me have to remove it to measure. Ugh!
