I did go ahead and spend $1570.00 with RA yesterday. I ordered in all Genuine GM parts: Upper and lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods, idler arm, pitman arm, both front wheel hubs, center link and the rear track bar that I forgot to get and replace when I did my rear control arms. At that time the knock sensors will be done as well as the harness, intake and valve cover gaskets/seals and throttle body seal and steering wheel position sensor. I already know that some will call me out for replacing something that may not be bad. As far as I know, all these components are still original. "I am helping the economy. I put my $1400 stimulus check toward these parts". I am getting to a base on my rig where I know the age of my parts and fluids on this rig. I will be to a point very soon where I will be driving for 5-6 years with doing just oil changes and dealing with anything else that pops up. I know, I know....the transmission is next but not till I have a problem. All parts are to be here before end of this month.

I totally agree with replacing all the parts you are, no sense in spending the time to do UCAs and outer tierods and leave the other old stuff there. Your right there might as well make it all like new and have a clean slate, carry on! :patriot:

I know I am gonna do whatever I damn well please but was wondering of other opinions. Here is what it looks like now:

My plan is to redo the center grille area and the wings on each side of the BowTie emblem with a flat black painted new grille assembly like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/131722487842

Then I will get a flat black BowTie white white or silver colored border surrounding the BowTie.

By the way, the hood attached bug deflector and the 4 door window vents are coming off on Monday during the full detail.

Also, I see the tags, they have been renewed since this pic.

Ok, as I said, I will do as I damn well please and I will be keeping the old grille. Thanks for the input though. Yes, the rig is clean and I want it that way but I think the flat/matte black look in that whole assembly will look good. Again, IMO.

IMO:

If you had other black accents (black wheels, door handles, brush guard, etc.) then a black grille would have something to tie into. Otherwise, it'd look like an unpainted replacement piece like you were in the middle of a collision repair.

After reading what @iamdub said and thinking about it, I have to agree with him and @Dantheman1540 about staying, for now, with what I got. There are no problems except for a small crack on the bow tie and I can just do that for now. If I do decide to do it later I will likely do the door handles and a couple other things. I already did the new center caps:

I had to put in a little more work to cover that ugly gold on my center caps: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/growing-up-doesnt-have-to-suck.93510/page-26#post-1353962
