The Premium wheels are a silver/polished version of the Platinum chrome wheels.

I'm going to have to do 28% on the front windows which as I understand it is Florida law. Since we'll be moving there soon I'm going to have to get the truck inspected/registered there, so I don't want to be in violation when I do. If I get lazy I might just wait till after I get inspected in Fl so that I only do it once.

Florida doesn't do inspections. Front window is 28% IIRC, second row is 18%, and back can be blacked out if you want.

But, tint is hardly, and rarely, enforced in Florida. Been 5% and 35% on the windshield for near 18yrs...

And Florida will demand darker tint, otherwise watch that dash and leather burrrrrnnnnnn

Actually the guy who bought the WDT Escalade likes both types, so I had the choice of swapping the Platinum wheels over or keeping the Premium wheels on the new truck ... I decided to keep the Premium wheels.

Indeed, and listen, I can't stress this enough ... no matter what anyone says, our Florida home will have no pool. I repeat NO POOL anywhere near my house.

See you at Robbie's. :waytogo:

right right right... :pp:

I thought you did have to get inspected once when you first register the vehicle (if it's not new) no?

Well it turns out I do need to get an inspection in my case, but all they do is look at the VIN: http://www.ehow.com/list_7250236_florida-auto-inspection-requirements.html

What is this nonsense?

that's for insurance purposes Serge, not safety inspections given by the state to make sure your vehicle is road worthy.

Yes, they will ask to see the vehicle (your insurance company) to make sure the vehicle is actually there and drivable.

In fl the tint law is 35% in the front and 15% on the rest. My truck was registered with tint and they didn't say anything.
