P2135.. so if I understand this issue correctly. If the voltage at the pedal and the throttle body are not the same for 2 seconds it reduces power to keep the engine from a runaway condition... next question is how do you trouble shoot what is causing it. I see where some one attempted to rewire the tps at the tb... I am suspicious of the repair though it happens most in traffic with lots of idling. I have had the truck for a week and a half and behaved just fine in test drives

Negative. Both TP sensors are in the throttle body. The pedal sensor is APP sensor. Connector will have 8 wires. 3 for sensor 1, 3 for sensor 2 and 2 wires for the motor that opens/closes the throttle plate. The three wires for each sensor are 5V reference, Low Reference (ECM ground), and the Signal Wire. The reason for 2 position sensors is for error checking as potentiometers do wear and fail.

You can monitor the TPS Agree/Disagree PID from the ECM to see if both sensors are working. There are also voltage PIDs for each. They should pretty much match. First thing I'd do is look at those while you jiggle the suspect harness. Likely you have a bad Throttle Body (TAC) with also some wiring issues.

Thanks for the clarification the printout I got with the readby explained it a bit different. The harness needs to be reworked after the previous owner looked to have replaced it at some point no idea if the tac was replaced or not. It's progressively getting worse

This is the mess... I do not like it and going to rework it tomorrow

Ran into this before. Butte connectors will not do. When you are dealing with 5V ref supplies and signals, any voltage drop makes a difference. Your best bet is to redo those connections with solder and heat-shrink. Clear the codes and see if they come back.

Finished

Each wire is shrink wrapped and soldered. Put all the wires through a larger piece of wrap. Then wrapped in tape to clean up the harness..

Let's see how this works.

So far so good. I drove some yesterday without incident. It started out when the wife would drive it. So she will be the real test. I have her convinced that the Yukon dislikes her. Hoping to keep it that way :D

Still no errors but the truck has been sitting a week with broken brake lines. When I drove it to get the tires swapped over no errors...
