I am installing a remanufactured 5.3 engine in my 2012 Tahoe and was wondering what sensors and parts should I replace? I have new injectors already.
A new throttle body would be nice as would the MAP sensor on top of the intake. How about the oil pressure sensor?

Are you keeping AFM? If so, does the engine come with a new VLOM and lifters and lifter trays and such?

How about a beefed up torque converter with billet parts from Sonnax?

I had them delete the AFM. I’ll get the oil and MAP sensors.
+1 on the billet TC. TC failure is what takes out the 6L80. Worth every penny for peace of mind - to me at least.

I’ll also add that the coolant temp sensor is worth replacing with new. I’ve had one fail and it was a minor inconvenience for me, but if it would’ve happened to my wife on a trip, she would’ve had a struggle figuring out what was going on.
