Performance air intake?

chevy is offering a performance air intake cleaner as an option.

What does this do? Cost is not specified.
It’s not the high capacity air filter that comes on the rst

As a manufacturer provided option it should not void your warranty and I'd only guess that it's GM's way of capturing some additional revenue as they know the aftermarket demand for intake systems is strong.
