Hey,
Is there a higher pressure fuel pump for our trucks or is the stock AC Delco good enough? I think I have fuel pressure issues and want to do some homework on this before buying anything.

Thanks

the delco or delphi stocks are good enough. if you blocked the pressure line with no regulator on it it would skyrocket quickly. for homework you need a fuel pressure tester and the proper procedure tasks to measure the about 1/2 dozen measurements to find where you stand pressure wise and to see what holds up.

i quit being a moderator and stopped helping so much so I just jump in here or there. mainly if it looks like someone is about to do something really stupid or the info from others just borders on sacrilege.

I posted picks of the rockers here:

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41155

The 411 swap went well. I just got a BB tune last week and have been putting some miles on it. Passed NYS inpection yesterday so thats good news. The truck really runs great, lots of power. I can't keep my foot off the gas lol.

But still have this one last p0300 misfire issue going on. I'm down to the fuel pump since everything has been changed 2x already. The video shows erratic readings. I don't think its normal. But who knows.

Check out the thread on the rockers. I love these babies!

dude it looks like the spider is screwed on an injector. the pump could be weak too but will not normally drop tick like that is doing. I swear i could hear in the engine running too.other wise pressure builup and intial hold seem good. can you get a longer video which show engine shut down and pressure at 1,5,10,30 decay rates after shut down?

it could explain the misfire. and from which day one. when you did spider? and whoes did you put in? there might be one other cause but need as much detail from you as you can get.

The misfire is definitely random... on idle. No problem at wot and overall driving. Noisy engine from day one due to piston slap. I evan called GM on it and they said there is no problem with premature ware. It does go away after she warms up though.

The spider is a delphi bought that last year and had the same problem.
