Hello everyone. I just enrolled to the forum and have a few questions. I would appreciate any feedback. I recently purchased a 95 tahoe with a 350. I have ordered a short ram cold air intake for it and it already has a 1" intake spacer but it has an exhaust leak which I've been told is due to the deterioration of the collectors. I've been thinking about a stainless magnaflow converter and y-pipe and a set of direct fit shorty headers.Would this bolt up with NO fabrication? Would this make a noticableable difference? Is there any other products that are just as cheap? Im just looking for a little bit of bolt on performance. thanks much everyone. CHEVY FOREVER!!!!

Should bolt up. What type of shorty headers are you looking at? Guessing you are doing the install on this yourself since you are looking for a no fabrication application.

Look into a throttle body spacer, adjusable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauhe, and doing the ultimate TBI mods

Already have the spacer. headers are a no name brand off e-bay. painted with hardware--$109 Im just looking for some performance and fuel milage for my daily driver. would love to get a mild cam and aluminum intake. massaging the stock heads wouldnt hurt either I guess. oh well, only 20 paychecks away!!!

Well you will only notice gains with fuel mileage with an exhaust, performance gains will be minimal. You would of noticed more of a gain if you went with long tube headers instead of shortys. If you want performance you will be looking a doing Vortec heads and new cams. Also gotta make sure you are getting enough fuel. Fuel pressure psi from the factory varied from 9 to 12 psi. 9psi is no where near enough for even a stock engine. 12-13psi would be optimal, this is where the AFPR and fuel psi gauge come into play.

Those "ebay" headers could be made very cheap tho. Spending that 110bucks will last maybe a month then youll have to get another pair or throw your stock manis back on. If your going to go strong into performance and mpg gains, get some longtubes made by a Name brand company. Do it the right way once and youll be set!
