is she 'Road-Worthy' though?

H3LL YEAH!
I put on almost a thousand miles over this Holiday. To Rancho Cucamonga, California and back to Yuma... then to Tucson and back the day after and she was perfect. Damn i love this truck!

Got home late last night. Pulling into my driveay noticed how many different hues are emitted from all my lights.

When i got back from Cali on Saturday i only had about 8 hours before my next trip so i put the new compressor together. Changed the oil, torqued the head bolts and cycled it. Let it sit until i got back home last night and it didnt even budge on it's pressure stayed at 140psi the whole time and NO LEAKS. Amen. This should be a keeper.

I hope everyone had a great Holiday

My buddy is a photographer.- @distinctangle
He took the Denali out and wanted to get some shots of her with his T6i and a Long Distance lens yesterday.
Cool to see someone else's perspective.
Paint almost looks green in the first one

Amazing looking paint job!

Two ideas for you:

Use the hex grid to paint over the stock color in the door jambs.

Get an aluminum GMC logo and and paint it Bermuda blue, leaving the beveled area unpainted.

I tried to find one online, but couldn't find a good example. I must be searching for the wrong thing.

good idea about the jambs but unfortunately that pewter is WAY too bright compared to the dark greys i used on the stripe. I still need some more supplies before i do door jambs. Plus i still need to wetsand and buff it all. Plenty to do.

Regarding the GMC Logo (i still have the original logo and probably could do that. I also had some custom emblems made by a friend in Hawaii that i may implement on the grille. Not sure yet. Thanks for the kind words and i always love ideas

Looks awesome!

thanks David!

Been waiting to see this truck and the paint update after being off the forum for nearly a month just before you shot the new color scheme. It was worth sitting down to read this thread and see the changes.

That paint looks so amazing!! Great work and end results. The color change, the shine, the shaved parts, the honeycomb and how it all ties together on the exterior and the interior as you look in towards the dash. That front end looks so mean and low too.

Definitely top shelf work and worth a big pat on the back to yourself. Good example to all the other guys that they can do some of this work themselves and appreciate the hard work and reward at the end of the project.

Amen to that. Thanks a lot, Foss. I appreciate those words. Along with the push to remove the antenna's. That part was much easier than i thought it would be.
:)

The paint job took a lot out of me that weekend but i am very happy with the results. Feels like a whole different vehicle. Turned out better than i even thought it would. Got my first rock chip on the hood when i drove to Cali, but i knew it would happen sooner or later haha.

Cheers!

Welcome to 2018. I am almost ready for a new project this year

Did a little cruisin around Yuma yesterday. Which of course, includes a shot at the Graffiti wall which changes almost every week with new art.
