wired up the new deck this weekend. plugged in the harness. everything worked but the built in fuse/relay in the RP-5 must have had a bad solder/connection from the factory as i slightly wiggle it and it cut off and on. Crutchfield has a new one on the way.
Also noticed front speakers still not working. Someone must have re-routed wires to a aftermarket amp in her younger years or something. i may have to just hardwire those and run new wires to the unit.
(there's a lot more wires in a NBS than an OBS! good lord)

Wiring the radio, amp and speakers in an nbs isn't bad, I'm not talking about the megawatt, colossal system. The worst part is hiding all the wiring.

wondering. Bose system:does the factory AMP feed the door speaker wires? or do they just go through the factory harness? the RP-5 has 2 options. Amplified factory stereo/Non-amplified

You have the Denali so it's the Lux system and it all should go through the amp which is in the rear driver side behind the panel next to the sub.

Ahh, I think I have one of those amps. Came from that parted out Denali. Is it bolted on the sub box?

I believe mine was mounted to the metal next to the sub box; I remounted it inside that compartment that opens so I could install the MTX Thunderform enclosure. It was awhile ago and I forget the exact mounting spot.
