When I first had the Flowmaster installed it was dumped and the drone was pretty bad, so I added a 4 inch tailpipe which really helped out and changed the exterior sound a little too...

how would it sound if u had long tubes and straight piped it but then dumped it out just before the rear axle

which magnaflow they make alot. I have the 5x8x14 on mine dual in single out with a 4" tip

Sounds good, well as good as can be from computer speakers... LOL

I'm planning on doing mine this Friday the same way, Dual in = Sinlge out...

Not sure about the 4"tip? Is yours chrome? And do you have any pics, I'd like to see it!

Yes mine is chrome it is 12" long with the 15 degree slanted end or whatever. Honeslty man i think that 4" tip is perfect for the tahoes

That's how I want to do mine but without the chrome tip... I don't like how you can see the rest of the pipe behind the chrome, so I am just gonna make it look like a stock pipe with the sound....

I did it to my '90 2500 that I had in high school... dual in = single out 3" and it looked factory, but sounded good. But I used a FM back then... Not sure if I wanna do the FM or the MF ....
