Anyone running the pioneer 4200 dvd/cd player. I bought this the other day online with out doing any research to see if it would even fit. If anyone has any pics i would like to see how it looks in the dash. Also what dash kit is the best to use.

Oh it will fit for sure. Look for the Metra double din kit for the 04-06 GM trucks.

Slick deck btw, good choice.

I just bought one and waiting for my wiring harness to come in which should be today or tomorrow but it fits perfect, although you do have to cut away some plastic inside the dash but its not much and takes about 5 mins, I used metra 95-2009 dash kit

Cool man post a pic if you get it installed. You doing the bypass on it. I used a relay on my last pioneer and worked perfect.

Works great

I recommended it very much

Install (Applies to 03-06) Needed materials:

GMOS-04 (Needed for Bose and Onstar systems)
Wire harness
Dash kit
Antenna adapter

what did they change from the 4100 to the 4200? the 4100 is ****** huge..even compared to most other DDs...i had a dash precut for one and i had to take out another 1/4" all the way around because of the 7" screen

They didn't change a whole lot between them really. The graphics are better on the 4200, new software design, and it's navigation ready.

They have a 3200BT now that has built in bluetooth but it has the 5.8" screen. This is probably the one ill go with just for the bluetooth. if the 4200 had bluetooth i would buy it, but im not spending another $200 on that stupid BT adapter when I have to buy a $100 harness and $100 steering wheel control adapter too. Pioneer's are great units!
