Hey everyone, I’m getting my LQ4 torn apart and had a question about the pistons. Is there any markings from factory? I’m posting a picture of them and I’m wondering if someone has been into the engine before I owned it. Not sure if they are factory or not?

They look factory to meet they have the black Teflon coating

Looks like some serious miles on those parts so I'd guess they are stock.

Ok thanks! Yeah the Odometer is at 260k. So I decided to do a rebuild.

Looks original to me. See that worn off teflon on the skirt? Thats where the piston slap comes from and thats why the teflon is worn in that pattern in that area. The slap happens when the piston transitions from the downstroke to going upward on its upstroke.
