any updates?

Finally sent a log back to BB a few days back. It’ll Probly be another couple weeks before I get a new file and update on the random codes that are coming up. The cam definitely gets people’s attention.

Start ups are a little rough but overall it’s running fairly well. With this virus bs I might go ahead and take it into the shop this week to see if they can track down the misfire.

Shifts under heavy throttle are rowdy with the cam and headers. Very raspy.

I’ve been talking with a company that makes exhaust tips. Looking to get some quad 4.5” tips to mimic the corsa exhaust. I’m taking a huge hit right now financially so that might be on the back burner for a little bit.

I’ve got an appointment for tmrw to get the misfire checked out. It has been running better but still not 100%. E85 is in the $1.30s right now so I’m running that every fill up. It’s seems to be running better on 85 vs 93 as well.

I spent a few hours cleaning the interior. I’ve got a few carpet stains I wasn’t aware of and need to work on but other than that it’s looking new again.

Day 1: clean mats, vacuum, clean/scrub seats, wipe down all panels and plastics, and spray odor eliminator.
Day 2: leather protectant applied, sprayed/wiped mats with interior detailed, and scent spray.

The leather cleaner and brush from shine supply were great. Leather protectant is another fav and so is the vanilla bean spray, it’s damn good.

One of the cleaning rags after wiping the leather dry. The particularly black sections came from the center console. It does not seem to be the same leather material as the seats.

I plan on wrapping all of the silver trim gloss black. I haven’t seen it done with the platinum dash so I’m curious to see how it’ll look. Waiting on the materials to get here. Won’t be here for another month with the shit going on.

Center console is vinyl, not leather. Make sure you use leather conditioner regularly. This leather tends to dry out and crack. With all those small holes it'll also shrink and tear. Don't sit on the seats with wet shorts--like if you're swimming.

I usually add the conditioner every 2-3 months but this time it got a little past that.
For 165k they look pretty good!

That's a good interval. They do look in good shape. GM's leather isn't the greatest.

The platinum leather is impressive. The other trim levels aren’t the best from what I’ve seen.

I would say the platinum leather is similar to a king ranch or high country level in the truck world. I haven’t seen any with this kind of mileage though.

That King Ranch leather looks nice, but don't ever sit or sweat on it, stains immediately.
