Plastic parts on OEM headunit

Stupid question indeed.
I had a scosche GM1590AB kit. JUst cut the plastic trim that doesn't belong to your type of car and screw them to the sides of the HU.

I have a trip planned for next week. I'll enjoy music then.
Next move will be to add the bluetooth microphone and and steering wheel control box.
Next spring : route the wire from the reverse camera and ocnnect to the headunit.

I just need to find a nice bezel for the headunit. The pioneer is a little bit smaller thant the OEM unit.
