I have been getting these codes about once a day for some reason. I bought a 1998 Tahoe Sport last weekend. The guy told me that he had been replacing everything to attempt to fix it.
Map, Mas,O2 sensors, Egr. I tried sucking half a bottle of sea foam into the pvc valve hose, waited 15 minutes then started it back up. A bottle of sea foam in the gas tank too.
This seems to have cured a ruff idle at start up. Lasted 30 seconds or so before.
Any ideas or common issues with the TBI on these? Thanks, Shawn

I removed the throttle body and cleaned it today. I did notice that under it everything was pretty black except for a nice clean spot on the right side about 3" circle.
I didn't think of it till now but a bad spider hose could be spraying onto there. I have been running injector cleaner in the fuel since I bought it last week.

Are replacement hoses available? Thanks, Shawn

You can buy individual injectors, however if you spend the $300 or $350 you can get an upgraded injection system.
Same thing more or less. Stock had the wires/injectors in the center. Lines ran to a valve. When the "injectors" open and supply fuel/pressure to the line the valve is forced open spraying fuel.
The new system same idea, but the injectors are electronically opened where the valve was. Better setup, should run better even completely fine.
Will post a link (will be for a 97 pickup, same thing) for the line/injector, and new system.
New system has wires to the ends of the spider legs, old does not.

First one is a stock replacement injector/line. See the clips another giveaway for stock.
Second is the entire assembly, conversion from CSFI (stock) to MFI
All plug and play. Just a full replacement instead of one.

The clips are for sale on ebay. I agree with you though. I'll do the conversion. Wonder why the old bracket won't work? Sure looks the same.
