I've never been happy with the fact that GM builds these trucks as if there were a bunch of nannies trying to baby sit us.
Can't auto roll up the windows like you can in just about every other car on the road, including the GMC Envoy and Buick Enclave. (Yes GM does build SUVs with auto up windows, just not ours). Still trying to figure out how to make that work.
Door locks that will always lock when you either put it in gear or hit 5mph. No way from the factory to defeat this. BUT, GM Service Bulletin PIT3189C (supercedes B) which was introduced for the pickup chassis does in fact work on our SUVs. Had it done this week while the Denali was in for a new intermediate steering shaft (34,000 miles and the steering shaft was bad, nice QA GM.). I now have a 3rd option when setting the door locks- no auto lock. Works like a charm.
Now if I can find the magic trick for the windows I'd be a happy owner.
