I have a set of 2015-2016 17 X 8 seven-hole police wheels. I'm missing two of the press-fit nuts that go into the wheel center, from the backside, for each of the three bolts that hold each center cap (M8-1.25 thread). I've tried McMaster-Carr and looked at the product lines from several other fastener houses - no luck. Can anyone provide a part number or a source? They have to be pretty flat so that the wheel mounts against the hub properly.
Or, as an alternative, can anyone tell me who made the wheels for GM - Dorman, Kelsey-Hayes, etc.? I might be able to contact them as a source.
Thank you.

I know @Tonyrodz has tapped some, but I don’t recall if they were standard or PPV wheels.

Seems like drilling and tapping might be the best option. Have you looked at Rivnuts or captive nuts in your searches?

Yes, I have. Actually, I ordered some clinch nuts from McMaster-Carr, part #95185A-710. They were as close as I could find, but they don't have nearly as much knurling to grip the hole as the originals. Also, the head (flange area) is much thicker, to the point it might cause mis-seating of the wheel against the hub. I could get out the grinder, I suppose and then weld them to the wheel center. This is getting a bit convoluted; I fear I'm chasing this rabbit too far into the woods....... If I could just find the originals, everything would be fine.
