What are you guys paying monthly? I want to get back into one but damn, they show around $1000/month on sites. I know I can probably get that lower, but wow!

$663 month.
15k/39 month lease.
2015i SLT w/ Open Road, 2nd row Bucket Seats, and 20" wheels

65.1k sticker, 58.5 sale price, 2.64% APR/ .00110 MF (buy rate at the time), $4200 or so down. Can't remember what residual was at the time I purchased... maybe 53% or so... pretty low since I bought later in the model year.

Guess I don't understand the value of leasing. In my mind that's lighting $30K on fire.

I actually thought about leasing because it would've been cheaper since I buy and sell/trade a lot but with my trade in difference of 2k + 4k cash down (6k total) they still wanted to do a three year lease for $714/month.

Ended up getting a 2015i SLT sticker price $60,800. $4500 off and I haggled them to give me $3200 for trade in difference (instead of $2000). Got 3.2% financing and put $4k cash down for a six year loan of $835/month. I plan on keeping this vehicle for many many years since it's my first new vehicle so I'm glad I can keep it instead of returning it had I leased. $124 more a month won't kill me and I think is well worth the extra bit.

Can I get input on this price for a 36 or 39 month lease? Fair? Too high?

2015i Tahoe LT - Nav + other options = ~57000 msrp
605 total monthly (includes tax)
4000 total out the door down (not including registration)

Thanks.

That seems fair to me, and obviously take this fwiw and do what suits you but are you sure you want to put 4k down on a lease? I can sorta justify the monthly payments on a lease internally but I would have a hard time parting with 4k up front. I mean you're basically lighting 25k on fire to drive a car for 3 years and getting nothing when you're done. Unless you're planning on buying at the end of your lease and just looking for a way to temporarily keep your payments low on a new vehicle.

Another idea might be to buy a slightly used 2015. You can finance ~41k over 6 years at 1.99% for $605/month. You could easily imo get a used 2015 with ~ 22k miles on it for $42k + tax, title and plates with a bit of negotiating. Put your $4k down and finance approx $41k for the same payment.

Sell your Tahoe in 3 years for ~ $32-34k. You'd have maybe a $19k check to cut to your bank to pay off the loan and would have $10-$15k back in your pocket. You're still outlaying ~$23k over 3 years but at the end of that period you're getting half of it back to put towards your next vehicle or buy your wife a boob job.

Thanks for your feedback. Your points are well taken.

I lease though business and the lease is fully deductible. The depreciation schedule on a buy is not nearly as favorable and goes down each year.

Buying is otherwise better financially, and I thought about buying a 2015, but $41k out the door is optimistic as could be reselling in 3 years for ~$33k and all the ones I have seen in that range are the first of the year models (not the 2015i) and I would not want one of the early ones in a new model year. The 2015i is risky enough in a new model.

The other reason I am considering lease is my difficulty committing. I don't know if I will like it that much or if I will have problems. Although, I am committed for 3 years where otherwise I could get out sooner if I bought used.

My other leading option is to wait until the 2016 come out and then buy a 2015i used, when there will be more around. I would just have to put tires on my current car.

I am not good with these types of decision.
