Pros and Cons 2015 Yukon Denali

New to the group. I just picked up a 2015 Yukon Denali. Can anyone share any pros and cons about it, any issues I should look out for?

Welcome to the forum. I've had my 15i for I think going on four years now. I had some warranty trans and transfer case work done maybe three years ago, but I don't have real cons specific to this year. There was a warranty extension for an AC problem a few years ago too - your truck's age (and perhaps mileage) might be beyond that now, just something to keep an eye out for, should your AC get weak. Overall, I love my 15i - solid truck and I road trip regularly in it.

Do you know if you got the 8-speed (2015i)?

what motor/trans? & how many miles?

hopefully you dont have the buffeting issue
depending on milage make sure all fluids have been changed.

keep an eye on A/C issue as mentioned above, specifically the condenser.
if A/C is working well not an issue

also keep an on on AFM

check out shocks for leaks... mag ride & air shocks can seem to lock up when they go.

8spd trans can have torque converter issues


i have a '15 burb & love it. i havent had any major issues w/ mine... w/ exception of GM quality paint on hood & roof

a supercharger will always put a big grin on your face

I can't think of any pros to owning a 2015, quite possibly the worst year of GM truck ever made.

Had mine for a year now. Only issue I had is the brake light issue which is very common.. I was only about a month or so out from the repair warranty so I had to fix that myself. And the car didn’t come with apple car play so I used a company to send me all the stuff I needed pre programmed to my vin to make it an easy swap to upgrade my radio

also intermittent alarm problems. But I think it’s from my defrost tab on the rear hatch is broken

Sorry I'm just seeing this message. I have the 6.2L V8. I have 81K miles on it now.

Thanks! I don't have all the service records. Just the "CarFax report". I've taken it to my local GMC dealership and had maintenance service done on it. So far no real issues.
