I haven't spoken to him in a few months via phone but the last time I did the motor is in. He is having problems with a "Local Yocal"<My words Not His. Needs to work a few kinks out with the harness and fuel system set-up.

so, about +/- $275 in fittings and hoses. still gotta buy radiator hoses and belts and such, but that's what i've ordered so far. also, the LS motors have an optional oil cooler block off plate from the factory, so that's what i used to delete my oil cooler connections. i MAY add it later, but as for now, i'm not gonna run it. pics to come when it all comes in

the guy i found's thread about his blazer... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=421030&highlight=highlander

Hey Branndon, glad to hear you've got things going again. Which local guy did you get John Verrete, or is someone else?

hey paul, how's the wife doing? last time we talked you had had an accident, hope all is well. no, it's a guy named Hoyt, he's a big z-car fanatic (240, 260, 280z) and has done a few of these swaps already. he knows verret, as verret i think is still one of, if not the only guy that does PCM tuning around us. Hoyt was a mechanic by trade for a while, has an awesome assortment of tools, and is just totally thorough and meticulous. he's got a '72 blazer with an '05 motor/tranny, totally rebuilt driveline, has a '72 chevelle with an '09 ly6 (variable displacement 6.0 or 6.2L, can't remember which), an old ford falcon he's gonna put a taurus SHO motor in, an old apache in the back yard, it's crazy. he's just a gear head at heart. if you're still looking to do the swap in your truck, he may be the one to talk to since you know how "squirrelly" verret can be. he's an operator at citgo, but still likes doing projects on the side. if you still have my number, give me a call sometime.

Thanks for asking. She's doing better, but still has a ways to go. Collar bones heal slow. I'll call you soon, sounds like he might be the right guy for my swap. I was watching one of the truck shows Sunday morning and they put a Edelbrock supercharger on a 5.3 and it dynoed a 90hp gain. Sure gives a guy ideas.
