I'm starting to look for an upgrade to the brakes on our 2006 Yukon. I was wondering if we upgraded to the 07+ brakes from the NNBS would we also need to go to a larger set of wheels as well? Right now we have the stock 17" wheels on the truck. I'd like to eventually have either two 20" sets or one 20" set for winter and either a 20" or 22" set for the summer. Just wondering if we can use the stock 17" wheels in the mean time before we get new wheels.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks guys. On my way home yesterday I saw a NNBS Sierra and that had a 17" rim and I assume the Sierra brakes and Yukon brakes are very similar if not the same.

Does anyone sell a complete kit needed to upgrade to NNBS brakes?

You just need the calipers, brackets, and rotors. Any auto parts store can get them

And new pads of course.

Yes, any autoparts store can sell you 07 tahoe calipers (with bracket), rotors, pads, and you should go ahead and replace the brake lines if that hasn't been done yet. New brake fluid as well.

Hmm so if I have the factory 16s what are my options, I assume this won't clear the 16" wheel then ?

Nope, 17 or bigger.

But you can swap to stainless lines with 100% fresh fluid as well as some badass EBC pads and make a substantial improvement to your brakes.

Been pricing this mod, noticed that the 07 calipers quite often have different part numbers than the 08-09 calipers. What is the difference? Will both of them work on my 06 AWD 'nali?
