If you have a basic mechanical ability you can do much of the repairs yourself. There is so much info on here that you would be hard pressed not to want to give it a go. If you like the truck get it. They are not cheap by any means but they are fun to drive and family safe.

yeah i can do most repairs myself, just put a new tranny in my wrangler. i just dont want a car payment and a car breaking down lol, towing with my wrangler is killing it , the grand cherokee does ok but has 167k on it and worried about taking it on long trips with the camper.

yeah its about a thousand to fix whether you go with stock replacements or arnott which bypass the electronic parts of the suspension system.

So i went to dealer today to see service records on it. since new it has had all services done at same dealer up to 130k. some things i noticed were handles done under warranty, also had rear shocks done @ 115k, and something emmissions related at same time. I also took it on a 250 mile round trip today to get some jeep parts. things that have me worried are oil pressure at idle it was around 15psi according to gauge and about 37 running at highway speed, is this normal? it is almost due for a change and i checked it and it wasent to low. also depending on how i started from a stop there was a clunk from the rear, not sure if it was suspension or drive train.

That's good.

Again, a good thing, you shouldn't have to worry about the rear for a while

I want to say that's normal, but others can confirm as well

That good because that means it's not drinking oil.

This could be a couple things. I would bet it's a Broken Motor Mount but could be a U joint.

Or the slip yoke? I have the clunk every now and then and haven't messed with it. Put 10k on it with no problems so far

Also wanted to know what do they usually run tranny temp wise? This was around 185 in city traffic pulling a small trailer.

yeah my oil pressure seems kinda low on mine as well, never looked into it though. Seems under 40 when driving. Trans temp pulling my 26ft camping trailer hovers around 195.

We've only had ours for about 3 weeks now, but that oil pressure is the same for me. Seemed low to me at first but the gauge on our 05 Tahoe wasn't that accurate so I assumed the same for this one.
