Oh I remember. I'm only 6 years younger.

I remember my first paycheck from the A&P when I was 15 years old. After taxes it came out to like 80 bucks. My mother said, "Wow! Look at that. Now you can buy one pair of cavariccis from Jean Country."
Hold on, hold on!! My 1st "Real job" was working at the A+P on Belleville Ave in Bloomfied, next to the China Clipper. I also was 15! Too funny. I hated those pants btw.

He meant "drivers side" (DS) and I think is confusing the ABS with SRS.
and ya the impact sensor/s under the bumper frame, like you linked above are the most common problem, you should have a associated code but getting that code requires a scanner that can read SRS. the cheapy low end scanners usually do not have that capability.
if it is a front sensor just be aware the left & right side are the same part number and the code may only say "front impact sensor" so if you replace one side and the code does not go away then swap it to the other side. next most common is the passenger seat sensor or a broken wire.

^^^ THIS. But we've also heard stories that the Dorman sensors, even those that have the correct part number, can cause "incorrect part" messages. So if it comes to replacing a sensor, remove the old one and match the number on it to a GM or AC Delco replacement part.

Freakin' funny as hell. :Big Laugh::Big Laugh::Big Laugh::Big Laugh::Big Laugh: Just like any service, it is not a democracy and your wear what you are told, no matter how much you may hate it or like it. Off ship, never wore them. Had to wear dress whites and dress blues with bell bottoms until you made E-7 or higher. Off ship on liberty, I am lucky I came back to the ship wearing the same clothes I left with.

How long is the used and tested one guaranteed for? I am assuming you are talking about the sensor. They are known for crapping out with no notice at any time. You have maybe bought one with a short life span left. If you plug it in and the problem does not go away, then you have no idea if is used sensor or still another problem. Used coolant reservoir, sure. Used electrical sensor, IMO, no.
