I bought my clarion unit that does everything I wanted for $500. If you decide to look into aftermarket there are deals out there that will do you want. You just have to know how to shop for them.
Was $500 including all harness?

Thanks that helps. I would like to go aftermarket but $500 is my limit right now. That includes the harnesses. I'll install myself.

Do you know if I can look at Silverado as well?

If your budget is $500, please do yourself a favor and check out Crutchfield. I just replaced a friends HU in an 05, Kenwood touch screen,DVD, Bluetooth, rear view camera, XM, mounting kit, and harness. It was about $600 but that was for everything and pretty top of the line HU. There were less expensive options that would give you an up to date HU within you budget. If your going through the "trouble" to replace it, bring it up to date. I say trouble but it really is pretty much plug and play with the right harness. Just my thoughts.....fwiw...

^ what he said but after you spec everything out on crutchfield, type in all those part #s into amazon and save yourself $100 - $200.

I priced the Pioneer 3800 on Crutchfield with the harnesses, install guide, backup camera for about $450

I'm getting the playback bypass from amazon for ~$5

the stock unit in these, even the BOSE, is clunky, underpowered, slow, and unreliable. Go aftermarket, it'll make your life easier.

I forgot to add that I would like to keep my xm radio also.

I'm torn on whether to get a navigation unit or just android auto capable. I need mapping for Canada which eliminates some of the units. I know it's probably more practical just to use my phone for navigation.

I have been searching on crutchfield for what I want. I spoke to them a couple times and they are very helpful.
