yep.... i talked with them when i first swapped the 9.25 in. was a little more then i was looking to spend "just to see if it works". aside from some boot clamp problems this is my first frankenstein axle failure after a year and a half. i can buy a whole lot of 75$ axles before buying those becomes a good idea

driveshaftshop, g-force axles etc have no interest in making a one of one set of custom cv shafts for me :D

What CV axles are you getting for $75? The AC Delcos I just bought for my 02 were $270 apiece

i need 4 axles total to make mine up, using acdelcos wasnt in the budget, id be @$1100 to do it with those...those RCVs would be more appealing. after the initial buy for me though, in this case the inner cup was fine so i just needed another "old" axle to build

and really i could prob slap the old cups back on them and swap out under warranty... but i dunno seems like more of a hassle, would prob cost me 30 bux just to ship it back to them

welp...today was too wet to do any "test and tuning"

i need to throw the exhaust back on it so i can not wake my neighborhood up on some midnight runs

i checked the continuity between the ground in the coil harness and its corresponding head. it showed like .5ohm- seemed kind of high to me, if anyones bored and wants to check it against a stock coil on valvecover setup to see what i should aim for. with the relocated coils and messing with the harness its possible i moved something around it doesnt like so i added a ground from each set of coils directly to its head.

i pulled the valve covers off in the chance i had a broken valve spring or something - no such luck. i did find a clip that locks the injector plug on down in the valley! the injector was still plugged in so not really anticipating any big break throughs.

attempted to make up a leak down tester...but it just leaked slowly anyway lol, i went ahead and ordered one.

just trying to eliminate everything mechanical at this point i guess before i dive into an aftermarket ecm. i keep hoping i find something-anything mechnical or in the tune fix it and it just works but i really dont know wtf else to do at this point

been searching around found a thread on yellowbullet with a handful of 1500hpish LS guys are gapping down to .015-.020 . ive got a new set of heat range 7 plugs i guess im going to gap down to just under .020 and give em one more try.

tomorrows plan is to replug and throw the exhaust back on.

Looks like you may be right....I gapped the 7s way down, .018 feeler. Seems to pull through. Power feels down but pulls pretty clean. Going to add some boost and see what it does.

What's your stance on the "hotter" aftermarket coils? Last I knew Granatelli was pretty sure of their Malevolent coils. If they actually do as advertised/tested, you'd be able to open the gap and/or increase the dwell in the lower RPM.

i believe most of the "smart" coils are all the same... the use a 5 pin connector, dedicated ground to battery, dedicted ground to head, dedicated power with 40amp relay required for each bank, and then the ecm signal +/-.

i was/am close to start migrating over to a holley dominator, their big wire ignition kit is probably what ill start with, and grab a few components here and there that will be an upgrade and can also just with the dominator.
