Typical header tubes...soot ring to an inch or two in then just clean?

And even now...junk hasn't ran for a few days and there's visible water at the throttle body that has just settle there.
I'm using orange antifreeze in the intercooler so it's not leaking coolant

Found a another thread or two of people going nuts with ice tanks and having the same problem so it could be what's going on:

I may do a quick compression check on it while headers are off and all the plugs are out, should be able to run thru it quick. Then put it back together, swap alternator, new plugs - maybe I will drive around without chilling the intercooler liquid and see if all the smoking is gone (prob should've done this first).
