only things left are:

fix the header, may throw a couple washers under the motor mount for temp Took header back off and hammerfied the tab, shouldnt make any noise. will end up replacing mount anyway
put the coils on driver side Done
put spark plugs back in Broke one pulling the ex manifold, the rest are in. gotta pick one up today
mount the bracket for alt/power steering pump should have been a simple fix BUT the puller/install i got from Jegs has a reduced thread at the end that it to long. i found a 3/8 bolt full length threads that would work, but the threads on my power steering pump were rusting to hell so i spent a half hour threading in half a turn, pulling, cleaning, repeat until i had 5-6 threads cleaned up enough to hold the bolt so i could reinstall.
put the fans back in Done
find the stupid e clip for the oil cooler line and hook them back to radiator Highlight of my afternoon! Done
change transmission filter and top off, check for any leaks with new cooler Filter/new gasket is in. was sitting a while so a lot more than fluid i had anticipated had drained into pan almost 9qts. Just need to pick up a few more qts and i can finish up.
finish exhaust y-pipe kinda wanted to hear it open header before i did, but well see i'll prob just finish it off
fill coolant and oil just need to get all the air out of coolant system after starting
load the tune from black bear Not done yet
put the front end back together if it actually runs It's gonna run because i already put the front end back together

Got it back together loaded tune fired up check fluids blablah.
Had exhaust pretty halfassed went out looking for some way to connect to the stock catback and some better clamps 3-3" for collectors/ypipe and 3.5" I'm going to just order some lap joint clamps.
Connecting to the stock catback however not so easy, I ended up taking the stock catalytic converter that has the other side of the stock connection and cutting it off, grinding all the other layers off and just making it 3.5" ball end that I could use a coupling/butt style clamp

so to catch my under construction thread up...

After the cam install it has been nearly flawless for the past year or so. i think the only issue i had (was recently) had an injector stick wide open and flood the crank case full of e85, i had close to no run time on it however, fixed injector, changed oil, ran a few hundred miles, changed again. oil pressure still good.

mostly everything done is on the forum in one place or another but to give a quick run down as it sits:

ls9 gaskets/cheap studs
tsp 218/228 vvt .600/.600 113lsa
springs are pac 1219x, CHE trunion bushings
flex fuel sensor/tune
LS3 90mm tb
circle d triple disc 258mm, 3400 stall
4" single exhaust from ypipe back, magnaflow straight thru mufflers
stock 32" tires 275 55 20
40k cooler
14bolt rear/9.25ifs front, 4.10s
qa-1 double adjustable coil overs in the front
qa-1 single adjustable back/ belltech drop spring
spohn adjustable rear arms/panhard
eibach front/rear sway bars

at this point it was about as far as i could take it without doing some heads (cnc or aftermarket) and getting a different intake, bigger cam, etc, etc. i could probably make it a little faster NA but costs/per gain wasnt worth it. most of it would carry over and benefit while turbo also but ive got other plans when this engine says goodnight.

So run whacha brung at this point :lol:
I will be clearing out the passenger side, locating battery to driverside tray, moving heater hoses, ac suction line (may have found a way to move the entire accumulator off the fire wall) to free up some space. I will be doing my best to keep rear ac/heat and as streetable as possible. Turbo is paid for and on the way, want to get the entire hotside in, everything moved with plenty of clearance, I will probably exhaust wrap everything - with just the headers under hood temps were ridiculous.
