Thems PurdyLonger bolts (6&6.5)and spacer came, waiting on smaller "alignment spacers" for the heims, the ones i have are a little bit over 1/2" long, i ordered some that looked stubby as hell, but they are basically the same length. the only definitive shorter ones i could find that will work are 3/8 from QA-1. they're 3/4 bore reduced to 5/8 for bolt. I ordered shorter ones for the top side (to move joint up). Was going to cut down the ones I had but figured it would be nice to have options for height as needed.
waiting on the 60° countersink bit to bury the small spacer in the tie rod hole
As long as no wheel interference I should be able to get quite a bit out of this.
The 6" bolt wont work full length, but I can move some spacers around and use if it looks better. the stock knuckle im mocking up on is about 1-3/8 thick with the shortened top spacer i'll have about 3/4" of threads coming out the bottom - plenty for washer and lock nut

i am happy with them, the longer spacer i ordered lines up perfect with the ones that came with it. i tried to find an ARP stainless bolt to use but could only find up to 1/2"Thems Purdy
I wish all of our generations had the manual transfer cases. My 95 Blazer had one and I LOVED it! I miss that truck.alrighty.
np261hd is back in, hole is cut in the floor for the transfercase shifter. i need to rip out half the interior to get the console out apparently to mount to floor shifter, it should all hide under the console and carpet though so not much worry it making it look pretty.
I also put in bump steer kit stage 1, my idea was to have it parked, pop the TREs out put the bump steer kit in without moving the wheels or the rack so the alignment wouldnt be completely Fd and i wouldnt need an alignment before i could drive it. which i did, and it went pretty good. but messed something up, wheel is a hair off center and the steering is hair trigger sensitive like the slightest input to the steering wheel, but it is very sliky smooth.
but definitely going to need to get it aligned again and with that in mind i went ahead and ordered some cognito upper control arms (with corrected balljoint angles) on the fence about tapering the knuckles for the small alignment spacer not sure if its needed. may just check it everytime i drive it for a coupel weeks and see if i should bother.
took it for a quick 2wd drive, no grinding noise like with the awd transfer case.
nothing worse than needing it, pushing that button and just having it blink at youI wish all of our generations had the manual transfer cases. My 95 Blazer had one and I LOVED it! I miss that truck.
