Its what's on the inside that counts? :anitoof:

Kind of a let down to bust it open and see an old, but very cleaned up and painted, case. But knew it was what was coming, said they like to use the older case for fluid transfer or some crap. Alas the entire case has prob been hot tanked, cleaned and painted no one will ever see more than the pan anyway.
I threw an old short hose I had laying around to loop the cooler fittings. And made sure the transfer case adapter works. It is about 1.5-2" longer than the 6l80

that's why I asked how that was going to work, I had thought about doing a better intake on mine and had read up on what all it would take, not a lot of info out there but one reviewer had said he had to do all kinds of stuff to make it work but that it was worth it in the end

honestly its probably 95% cosmetic lol. the stock intake will work just as well up to about 4500-5000rpm, stock intake being composite means it wont heat soak, obviously all the extra work needed to make the hi ram work.
at this point ive just had the hood popped so many times at cars and coffee or the track or where ever some one gives me a goddamn whats in that thing . i wanted to be able to pop the hood and make it look like i tried to clean it up

I'd be dangerous with a real shop...

Home at 5...trans in, converter bolts in, starter in , cleaned up and out to dinner by 7

also circle D got the spacing real close, ended up just need a small washer to keep it at 1/8" pull back to flex plate (which they included)
