lol hybrid battery swap man. when i opened the box it came in i saw the 3 "large" leads and didnt really think anything of it. guess they tap the hybrid battery in a few places and run them in series to up the voltage.
so thats a no go - the 2014+ trucks have electric racks also which should just be 12v but unless i come across one real cheap EPS aint happening. the "power unit" on there is like 5-600bux so even just swapping to the 2014+ truck one isnt really worth it , if it was compatible

this being the truck:

a lot different, the part that connects to the steering shaft comes up higher but looks like it incorporates the steering position sensor into it.
hydro electric it is! the gmt900 hose that connects to the steering rack, if anyone has taken the hoses off of it, is a tapered cone with an oring. i was going to cut it, flare it, and put a tube nut on it to change it over to braided line but cannot, outside of the clamping plate the tubing size is an odd size around 9 or 10mm

@randeez Totally off topic but I saw On PT.net that you had some nice looking QA1 adjustable shocks in the rear.

How do you like them?
What model?
Anything required to fit them?

first page has the rear shock TS806, just needs the sleeve and bushing which i think i also put in there. that was with 4" rear drop. parking brake cable hit the body they can be flipped over though.

after pulling the spacer and replacing all the arms it dropped another inch or two, i need to get the next shorter shock. stock height will prob need to get the next size longer.

i like them, adjustability is easy and noticeable. they have been on since 2018 with no problems, can be rebuilt, cost isnt too bad.

next set i get will be double adjustable

Thank you! That's exactly what I've been looking for the search function is just terrible lately!

Won't be getting them anytime soon but when I fork out the money for coilovers I'll likely get the QA1-TD806 (Double adjustable version of the shocks you have).
