so i dropped off the radiator to get the bungs welded on, random local place never used em before we'll see how it goes.

i have started putting front of truck back together, routed most of the wiring harness - only have a few things left to plug in maf and fans n crap like that.

i think the electric hydro pump is going where the airbox used to be on passenger side, wanted to keep it close to everything on the driverside but there really isnt any room, lines will be kinda long.

got radiator back, bungs welded on inlet/outlet and dabbed a little on the steam port return since mine are plumbed back into the water manifold. if i need to i can just drill it back out. welds looked good, as i was picking it up he asked what it was for, me: <deep breath>.....i'm glad you asked. lol talked for a bit, guy has nice early 60s c10, lowered and stuff. it kinda throws people off wtf im doing cause my other car is a plug in hybrid.

put the core support back together, mounted the ac condenser, radiator, fans, intercooler, put the window washer crap back in, battery is in, i need to shorten up wire to alternator.
still havent found a belt for alternator i've ordered a couple and none worth a shit, all too tight. i ordered a longer 4 rib i'll see how it goes.

tie rod ends matched up and threaded on, so i buttoned that all back up. brake backing plates came also - so put on the wheel bearings/hubs and axles. threw the old brakes back on, kinda want to get some big brakes before i spend more money on stock rotors/pads.

i made up one of the large coolant hoses from engine back to radiator, water pump is screwed onto the outlet of the radiator and ordered what i'll need for the other side. i just need to come up with some sort of a little mount for the water pump.

had to jack up the rear end so the wheels could spin and put in the rear driveshaft - its a little short, stock one will prob work for now. need to put fluid in the transfer case. lost a little transmission fluid when i swapped the tcase so i need to top it off.

and messed with the turbo charge pipes... going to need some extra pieces to make it work, with the radiator and fan and crap all in i have a little less room than i thought.

theres a few of them.... i was looking at the stoptech 6piston/rotors they throw up closeouts every couple months for under $2k.

then there's gm brembos that come on new tahoes, should work...but not really sure i want to play guinea pig with $2200 bux

and of course yea the wilwoods

/\ would also prob snowball into needing different wheels, not sure if theyd fit these junk stock 20s

stoptech or wilwoods will definitely work well

depending on the kit you get... generally 19's will be smallest rim that will work.

wired up the electric water pump and electric hydro pump (brakes and steering). all the electric power steering cars ive seen have a 100A+ fuse on the pump, as in it should never really blow unless theres a dead short in it, so thats what i did.
water pump is on a 30amp from the fuse box to a relay - i ordered a normally close momentary switch to be able to pause the circuit in the event if cools to well and never heats up (winter months) other wise its 85*+ for three quarters of the year so not to concerned about temps bein low
fixed the brake lights being on all the time! after taking the switch back out, testing, putting it back in, etc. turns out the little arm on the brake pedal was just not a hair wrong so i bent it into place and all is good.
measured for driveshaft, filled out request online , hopefully theyll get back to me this week with recommendations and get something together



i need to make a mount for the hydro pump, going to try and find some scrap aluminum plate at work tomorrow.
ordered/waiting on some hose and fittings to finish up coolant loop for front/rear cabin heat lines and a few to do hydroboost/steering rack lines.
ordered/waiting on a few fittings to finish water pump to engine side.
need to put exhaust mid section back in.
intercooler pipes i need to order a few pieces, going to have to order a bead roller also

I made one like this years ago for a supercharger build. I exaggerated the profile a little more than this, though. Just shaped it with the grinder until I liked it.
