I made one like this years ago for a supercharger build. I exaggerated the profile a little more than this, though. Just shaped it with the grinder until I liked it.

Great progress! I'm glad someone has some motivation to work on stuff. I have tons of motivation when I'm buying parts. Then, its all down hill from there

its rough getting back into it but problem for me is I usually have zero time. I took off last thursday cause i thought i was getting dental implant done, all they ended up doing was pulling stitches out of my gum - in/out in like 15 mins, friday was county holiday, site was closed so i had 4 day weekend!

the time i do get to work on it i run into a road block needing something, parts, welds, etc that holds everything up. last week i ordered like $600 bux worth of fittings and hose and adapters, wire loom+tape. that will keep me busy hopefully this coming weekend

now im to the point where there isnt just off the shelf parts for the specific application to make it work that i can just go and order and have it waiting to put on the next time i can. I have to spend X amount of time figuring out how to make whatever work, then try and cross reference the part with what application is would be, then order. I try and plan for stuff but i just end up ordering tons of extra parts, telling myself i'll return them if i dont use them (never do).

and in the event you noticed i threaded the (plastic) coolant expansion tank and the stem coming out of the radiator for it, messed around with making a hardline for it for line a hour lol. i made like 95% of it no problem got to just lining up and threading the ends and had a hell of a time. changes in elevation, nothings square, etc. what a mess. still not really happy with it and i think the bolt in the corner of the hood that holds the headlight is going to hit it. 20200707_173504.jpg

thats the plan...

f'n $600 summit order with hose and fittings coming today i think, should be able to button up coolant system and the power steering/hydroboost lines.

then waiting on the turbo charge pipes to come and will have to do a little cutting on them

still havent put exhaust back in - i think a cutout would help, a lot. there's like 15' of exhaust on this thing that im sure won't help the turbo spool up, it's all straight thru stuff but a lot of pipe. 4" would be plenty if all i had was a fender exit or something short but big turbo wants to breath
