Hello

I have a 2007 LTZ and it runs fine, still looks good, but is starting to have random rattles and sounds developing. I came from a Range Rover which had the best sound proofing and interior quality, so the rattles and wind noise are driving me nuts.

Has anyone taken a truck in to get the rattles addressed or added any type of sound proofing to make the truck more quiet? If so to a stereo shop or dealer?

Thanks

Ha! Have to disagree with you there (if that wasn't obvious from the "Ha!"). Yes, the sound-proofing is decent, but the interior quality blows, imo, especially for a truck that costs that much. And then there are the quirky British ergonomics...

Anyway, what are you looking to sound-proof? Sheet metal, or interior panels? I think that the road noise that I hear is mainly through the door jambs and windows, so I don't know what you'd sound-proof there.

Otherwise, do you have specific noises that you can't seem to track down? If so, post about them here, and maybe it's a matter of just addressing them.

I don't disagree with the british ergonomics, but you couldn't hear one rattle or any outside noise. I feel like a window is open in my tahoe in comparison. I have a wierd metal clink behind the nav, or under the dash inline with the nav. Rear dome light rattle over third row, door rattle, rear rattle by jack. And overall road and wind noise.

thanks

I feel that the rattles are pretty much a characteristic of these trucks. You could look into adding some after market sound deadening material perhaps. Or just turn the radio up a little louder?:Boo: My other car is a 2006 toyota 4runner with 80,000 miles that does not have a single rattle, so I understand your frustration.
