Has anyone ever re piped the exhaust crossover to make changing the trans filter easier

I am going to have flowmasters put on the truck soon and was wondering about doing this has it been done can it be done

If you want to keep the stock exhaust, best bet would be to have some cut out the section under the trans pan and weld in flanges, that way you just unbolt that crossover when needing to change fluid/fliter.

Or get a tranny pan that has a drain or modify the OEM and add a drain. Only would have to drop Y when changing filter.

How about installing a external filter and doing fluid changes via the cooler lines.

Sure drop the pan and change that filter, hen instal the inline setup.
Never need to drop the pan again.

Btw, take a look at the suposed filter in the trans. Its so course that it only stops large chunks. It doesnt stop fne clutch material which most of the time is the reason for trans failures.
If it truely filtered out the fine debries, we wouldnt ave clogged up valve bodys or sticking shift solinoids.

A true filter will remove that fine sediment from the fluid.
