are there any common issues to expect with this o7 denali. i have an 02 that had tranny issues that seems to be resolved by a new valve body. is this also the same. read about a fuel pump problem for the 07, can this be resolved by replacing with an updated pump or aftermarket

We bought a 2007 Denali (84k) three weeks ago, my wifes, traded her 2002 Tahoe LT in for it.

Love it, it is in great condition, inside and out, drives like a dream, ours has a knock on cold start, but other than that, it is flawless, has 4 stone chips in it which i got seen to, until today. Some ****er put a door dent in it when parked in the parking lot, there car was some distance away, so they must of push the door right open and with some force, my wife and i are pissed. My point is, and from someone who took the plung recently, you could worry all year long if you've bought a solid ride, only to have some nut job go out of their way and ding it. As long as your do your research online (google) issues, costs etc your doing the best you can these days. I would ask if you can take it to the GM dealer (if nearby) and pay for an inspection, mine (85k service) cost me $40, and they reported that it was in good condition. How true that is who knows, but if it was falling apart or something very wrong, at least they would pick up on it.

BTW, now we'll be joining those who park over two spaces on their own in the parking lot from now on... going to look through the forum on advice on getting ride of door dings now .. :(

Sorry for delay, they originally offered her $6500, after 4 hours, they gave us $8900. It was 02 121K Tahoe LT fully loaded good condition. We also got them down from 29.9K asking price to 25.5K before trade in on the Denali.

GM's V8s tend to "sweat" a bit from the oil pan. My 07 Impala SS, 08 Corvette and now my 09 Denali seem to have the problem. Not enough oil to go on the floor but it makes the oil pan look dirty. It is a $1k repair if not in warranty.

My Denali with 45k miles on it never used an extra quart of oil and the oil has usually been full when I took it it to have it changed.

Trim issues can be a problem. Overall ours has been reliable though. I have not noticed any lag with my 6.2 though. Maybe the throttle body/MAF sensor are dirty. If you slam down the accelerator a GM vehicle with an auto will hesitate though. My Corvette does it also, but if you just rotate the throttle it takes off like a rocket.
