Really loud noise at start up

Sometimes when I start my tahoe, I get a really loud noise that sounds like the fan hitting something. It only last for a couple of seconds then stops. It sounds like the fan but I am not sure. Has anybody else had this? or know what it might be? Thanks alot

I've been having the same problem with my Tahoe for a while now. Did they ever find out what was wrong with your vehicle? Thanks

Is this the "machine gun" type sound? I have seen threads about that and apparently it is an AC compressor issue. SOme have said that there is a software upgrade that somehow takes care of it....
