Hello Everyone,

I am new here, but I am actually posting for my brother you bought a used 2003 Tahoe a couple of months ago. I have been helping him get the Tahoe in excellent running shape it had some issues when he got it. It seems to be running really well now, but there are a few other things we need to work on now. I am pretty good at mechanical work and replacing parts, but when it comes to electrical problems I am not that good.

Here is what we are working on now:

When he bought it the rear climate controls that are on the back of the center console did not work, but the audio and headphone jacks did work. About 2 weeks ago the audio controls stopped working and now there is nothing working on the back of the center console. I have checked all the fuses and relays and they are all good. I havent taken the center console out yet. I was hoping you guys could help me figure out the problem. Where do I need to start checking for problems? Do I need to take out the center console or just the rear controls, if so do you guys have directions for that? I am not sure what other information you guys might need, but let me know and I will get you answers.

Thank you for the help I really appreicate it. I would really like to get his tahoe running and operating in excellent condition for him. Thank you.

Will

If all the fuses are fine your gonna have to open the center console. You won't have to take it out but just open from the lid back. What I would do is empty the center compartment and open it to get to the backside of those controls. Once I done that I would pull that panel that contains the controls off gently. It's being held there by clips I believe. Then I'd check the connections there and if a little loose push them back in and if that doesn't work. I'd trace those cables all the way to the front of the car and check connections there. The connection ends I believe either under the steering wheel area if they have a separate fuse.

Thank you for the help, got the center console apart and the controls out and I guess it was either dirty or lose. Took it apart and use some air to clean the connectors and plugged it back in and everything worked. Thank you.
