Does anyone know whether I could take a locker out of a 04 chevy colorado 2wd and put it in my 01 tahoe 2wd they are both 10 bolts. Would there be size differences anywhere else and would I have to redo the shims and spacers and everything?

Oh and if you think I should have a shop do this, how much do you think it would cost?

Not sure if it's the same rear on the midsize colorado and the full size tahoe, but it might be. If it't the same then it should work. I would also have a shop do the transplant as you need to be able to set up the rear correctly. Yes, it will need to be shimmed and it won't be the same as the carrier you have in there now.

I transplanted a G80 in my Trailblazer, it was about $350 for the fuild and labor at the shop.
