I agree 100% and found this video helpful.Nothing. Just about 1000 threads about adding friction modifier or not with certain fluids to the g80. 2000 threads about whether the g80 is a locker or a limited slip...
I have found the best info to be the many youtube videos explaining the operation of the g80, as it is a unique beast that is difficult to label.
As for the fluid (like I said earlier in the thread), you're going to hear..."I added it", "I didn't add it and it's fine", "I didn't use it, but got some chatter, so i added it", "certain brands have it in there already", and then some...
Best as I can gather in having read MANY of these discussions, use the AC Delco part# from the manual and be done with it. A nice gasket like a LubeLocker doesn't hurt. Make sure the fill plugs come out before you remove the drain plugs.
Buy a TruTrac if you want to abuse this rear end for the long haul.

Mines a bush button 4WDYour G80 is the locking differential. Do you have pushbutton 4wd or the handle on the floor by your seat?
typical is you fill it up tell it pours back outOkay! My manual doesn’t say how much I need though.. any ideas?
