I think that’s the route I’m going to take! Had a new plug ordered at Oreillys I’m picking up tomorrow morning!

I have blown up one G80 and it wasn't the diffs fault. I like them. An engineering feat with very practical performance, at the very least. However, if romping is the plan, forget it. Put a TruTrac in there and tell your buddy with the gravel driveway to watch his paint job.

I was heading that way. Mine had a huge crack in the body, and the bolt was about to fall out when I pulled the cover off and checked it.

I would recommend If you're going to change the oil, just get a gasket, take the cover off so you can clean it out thoroughly and inspect it at the same time.

Welcome to big block power that the Tahoe wasn’t designed for Lmao. I knew it would happen eventually, just not that quickly. It lasted for 6 months

Regarding how much. You should be able to find a guideline for the amount - e.g. one quart or more... Somewhere there will be a statement regarding the maximum level for the fill. For example - 1/4" below the fill opening or fill to the bottom of the fill opening.
