Hopefully the gears are the same or to your liking! A big frown would cross my face if my truck went from 3.73s to a 3.08!
They should be the 3.73 from the yard I’m getting it from if not I will find out when I put it in 4WD I could count the turns of the axle vs the pinion to double check once I figure out the math

I just opened the old differential it's the spider gears! The tips of most of them are gone not sure how this happened because there's absolutely nothing else wrong instead the axle! I pulled the carrier and everything else is good! Maybe someone worked on it and left something inside the housing that got caught in there? What's strange is there was metal hair on the magnet but no chunks on it or on the bottom!

Well, let's say it was bent near the spider gear, it would be hard to detect then I think.
Possible now I have to figure out how to check it? So I can decide if I Repair the spiders or just get my $50 core back?

I know someone has been inside it because the bolt that holds the pin that needs to come out to remove the c clips was damaged a little like a wrench had slipped off it!
