Rear glass hinge separated from glass

Anyone have one of the hinges come unglued from the glass on the rear hatch? Passenger side hinge on mine came unglued making it very difficult to close the glass. I had to remove the lift cylinder on that side to get the window to close without being pushed way up. The lift cylinders were replaced about a month ago and they are very strong so I'm wondering if that had something to do with it. I ordered some 3M urethane adhesive so hopefully that'll work. Otherwise I'll just pick up a new glass at the junkyard.

Just went through this. I got a new window at a junk yard for $34 and about 15 minutes of my time. I did some research and re-gluing doesn't seem to hold for long.

Just get a junkyard glass. The regluing doesn’t seem to work and you don’t want that glass exploding at the wrong time.

Yup, the exact same side is like that on my 2001. It happened about 5-6 years ago. I haven't fixed it, just removed the lift cylinder on that side so it will stay closed/sealed. Don't really use the window opening at all.

TAP plastics sells some good shit. They’re always a dependable go-to for projects of mine. I bought some solvent glue from them that worked awesome on interior plastics.

I got the 3M adhesive yesterday but I think I'll go the junkyard route instead. Nothing like a good excuse to head to the junkyard! Thanks for the advice!

There are 2 different style rear windows. The one with the small handle mounted in the glass is considered rare they are both interchangeable.

Could one of you with a 2006 Yukon or Tahoe total it for me? okay, just kidding, but this rear glass seems rare in my neck of the woods. Shipping from the US is not an option right now, visiting a yard in WA is definitely not an option right now either.
