recommend me some Long Tube Headers

Hey everyone i got about 500 dollars to spend and will like some input on some Long tube headers.

What i need

1. Cheaper or about $500.00
2. Needs to fit my 2006 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 LT
3. It will go with the following 22" Magnaflow Exhaust System
4. I would like 'cats' (catalytic converter) but i know i wont be getting that for that price so probably with out cats
5. I was either thinking of the LPP's or the Ebay headers
6. I believe i have a 2.5 Inch Exhaust System the LPP's Irrc are 3.0 Ich Collectors how will these still be compatible with my current exhaust Setup ?
7. Educate me on primaries i believe the thicker the better ?
8. Any possible Links pictures etc to help me out..

Since your budget is $500 and you want cats that only leave the ebay knock offs..
Being your in CA i would go chat it up with a inspector to see if the "cat" placement is going to make you fail..

The ebay knock offs do not use real cats tho there just resonators..

the LPP's would still fit the budget, not just the ebay's...the ORY alone can be resold for $100-$125 if he didnt want to use it.

Those LPP's, they look sexy!! How well are they? Noticeable difference over stock?

yes, they are 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collectors. Many use them on PT.net and love them. Good built quality.

Perfect, think I will be getting these bad boys pretty quick. I want to do the long tubes with either a borla or coursa exhaust, and some sort of good flowing cats. I dont have to worry about emissions, I just dont know what to run for cats, and dont know if not having the 02s will effect the computer/fuel economy. Any recommendations for cats?

Thanks Blue so i wouldn't have any trouble adding my 2.5 Exhaust for this ? and obviously i would have to get it tuned out for the back 02 censors.
Also would i need anything else gasket, bolts, clamps etc?

Oh I will be taking lots of pics!! Got my gf a nice Cannon Rebel T2i camera for christmas, and I know I wont have the headers until then. Have to wait until next week to order them!! How ever I kinda want to do my exhuast intake, and plug wires all at once, so I can feel the difference, rather than questioning my upgrades!! haha.

I 'think' where yours goes together is 3", and it comes with header gaskets ( you can re-use your factory BTW) and I'd do some stage 8 bolts. It also comes with clamps, but some people went and bought better ones from NAPA.


yes, since yours ( junior ) is tuned by BB, just have them retune taking out the 02 CEL
