redoing leather seats may be cheaper on the coasts but in Kansas, the local shops wanted $150 minimum just to replace the outer bottom piece that commonly tears. I ended up ordering 100% leather replacement covers for my '97 from the seat shop. I removed the old leather, hog rings and all. installed the new covers with new hog rings. The colors matched perfectly with the rest of my interior (tan). I did the seat bottom, seat top and the armrest. Looks perfect. My foam was in good shape.
Not cheap, but also not expensive compared to an upholstery shop. I think it was $400 delivered and the service/quality was top notch.
