There are many devices that can cause a loss of power. Have you done scheduled maintenance like fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter? A loose or corroded connection to the knock sensors under the intake manifold can cause this, loose or corroded connections to a wheel speed sensor or to the transmission are other possibilities. Any evidence of mice under the hood or under the truck? Oxygen sensor going bad. This is just an example of how more complicated vehicles can have failures in more complicated ways that are hard to fix. It won't get any better in the future.
