Reliability 2010 vs. 2007?

I'm in the market for a new Burb or Tahoe. I have an '03 burb with 180K on the clock and aside from normal wear-n-tear it runs great, no leaks or major problems.

From my reading, it appears that the '07 models have electrical issues (no start, battery assinations, etc.) Did these issues get worked out in the '09 or '10 models?

What other common issues would one look for in the '07-10 model years?

Have 30k on my 2010.

Zero issues except for replacing the lifters under warranty - due to the loud clicking noise they were making on startup.

I would recommend an 09 or later to get the 6 speed. While many have not had an issue with the 4 speed others have including me on my 02 Yukon. I now have an 11 and like the 6 speed much better. It is more reliable, better MPG and tows better. I will admit that I really didn't like the way it shifted until I got a BB tune. The stock calibrations made it want to shift through the gears way to soon and not downshift when needed unless you give it a lot of gas. With the tune it is perfect.

2010 here, only service is routine maintenance no problems whatsoever.

If you're looking at 09 or newer for the 6 speed may I suggest skipping the 09 and 10. I've heard of a LOT of people having significant issues with the 09 and '10. One of those people being my dad who got rid of his '10 in favor of a '12 when he only had 20k miles on his '10 due to numerous issues. The issue that made the decision for him was his transmission and he doesn't tow anything.

Put almost 80k on my 2008, traded and now have 25k on 2011. Both have been stellar performers. Could not be happier.

I concur about the 6 speed. The truck gets better mileage and feels more powerful with the extra gears. I also think my 2011 suffers from fewer rattles or squeaks but the 2008 wasn't bad to begin with.

I have a 2010 with 100k+ and have no issues..
