You need to forget about the subs and focus on the problem you are having. I told you exactly how how to bypass factory amp.

Subs forgot about.

So I should run new wires to all the existing speakers to bypass the stock amp?

I would because sounds like it has problems. One more thought did your buddy cut any of the factory wiring?

The factory wires looks to all be intact. When I installed the headunit, I just used the harness that it came with and it was pretty much plug and play. As far as I know, the wires are all as it was stock.

I'll look into what kind of wires I need to bypass that amp.

Go radio shack buy a spool of speaker wire and get to work :Handshake:
