So I made a swap today. Picked up a Center cupholder bezel out of a wrecked Escalade in the junkyard down in the high desert like two months ago..... it’s been sitting here in my apartment. And my cupholder tray broke again.... Lol. I used industrial strength adhesive to reflux the cupholder part back to the bezel piece(let’s hope it holds up....) I decided to refinish it because the lids were the almost reddish colored wood grain, and I didn’t particularly like it. And the side bezel was grey. Obviously that had to go! So I played with some colors and I actually like the outcome and im contemplating doing the upper bezel around the cd changer and the dash bezel to match and doing away with the wood grain all together....

That looks pretty good imo

So I finally got my air lift bags in today. I had asked the owner of the Jeep shop a couple times in the last three weeks if he could make some time for them. And he had kinda blown me off. I got a bit fed up and borrowed a floor jack and some jack stands from my family friend/our mechanic(who works at the Jeep shop) and attempted to do the install yesterday. Basically the floor jack wasn’t big enough to get my truck far enough off the ground to get the axle hanging and the rear coils all the way extended. I tried so many different things and got to the point were I was so fed up I had to just put everything away. And then I realized I had to be at the Jeep shop all day today to detail the owners diesel pusher RV. So I went in and chatted with the owners wife who does all the scheduling and kinda poked and prodded a little. I’ve done a crap ton of detailing for them over the last month, all at the last minute and him pushing me to do it all at the last minute. I made it all happen. So without saying it directly, sorta implying, I used that as leverage and got them to say they’d have Cory squeeze the airbag jobs in in between their scheduled jeeps. BOOM!! I was happy. Lol. So this afternoon while I was finishing the last side of the RV he threw my truck on the lift and got everything in for me. I’m very happy with them and with just the weight of my detailing gear in the back my truck is riding really well. So it should ride really well next month when I go to take the boat down the mountain. Which will be really good! Snapped a couple pics when I got home:

And then had him put the air in valve with my gas cap. There’s already a premade opening coming in from the side there, so he widened it a little and the valve fit in perfect: BD876904-013D-4DA0-8D28-52127E20EBCC.jpeg F5761316-3E5E-4E47-B039-FE0E6CCB0F3D.jpeg

I like that you pushed your position a little. You gotta do that sometimes. Next time just throw a 4x4 block on the jack and be done with it!
